Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
How often should I change my air filter?

Answer:
Every 6 months is typical although with heavy smoking or dry and dusty areas we suggest every 2 to 4 months. The best way to check is pull your filter out every month and hold it up to the light, if you can see thru it easily then you still have time before it needs to be changed.

Question:
Can't I just take the filter out and clean it off myself with a garden hose or pressurized air?

Answer:
Please do not do this, trying to clean a dirty filter is very bad in several ways. #1 You will release trapped dirt, dust and other possibly harmful particals into the air. #2 Your filter is designed to trap many harmful particals and forcing air through it will damage the filter material rendering it useless.
